St. John’s Golf Ministry For Duffers and Pros
Check out some photos from our 2011 Season. WELCOME! Come join us for fellowship, improve your golf skills, get exercise, but most of all just to have fun. EVERYONE is welcome. Members, non-members, all ages, men, women, girls boys and ALL skill levels. WHEN: Every Wednesday morning at 9 A.M. (From April when the course opens until it closes in November) WHERE: Vassar Golf Course. DIRECTIONS: Proceed to Vassar College-Raymond Avenue. At the Traffic Circle at the intersection of Raymond and College View Avenues, go east along the campus until you get to an entrance. Make a right into the entrance and then a left and follow the road to the Golf Course. The course is on the far East side of the campus. COST: Weekly green fee. Cost of luncheon at the end of the season. We completed our 17th year of the St. John's Golf Ministry in November. Approximately 40 people played this year with an average of about 20 or 24 playing each week. Our objective is to have this group composed of people at large from the community, to be of all ages, and all skill levels. This objective has been successful and we urge all who have an interest in golf to join us. We invite all to join with us for fellowship, a good time and getting to know, many people. The beauty of this group is that you don’t have to be there every week and the contests we have are for all skill levels. These include zero puts, closest to the pin, low net, low gross (both in regular golf and also the three club contest), We go out in groups of three or four and mix the groups up each week so you do get to know a wide variety of people. We each pay our green fee and for the luncheon we have at the end of the season. This year the luncheon was held at Coppola's on Rt. 9 with Burt and Ginnie Berge presiding. We will be starting up again in April and hope to see you there.
