Wrapped in Love is an outreach ministry at St. John’s where participants knit or crochet handcrafted items to serve others in the greater Poughkeepsie/Dutchess community. The group meets regularly on the 1st Saturday of the month from 1-4pm in the Blue room to work on these projects, however in June they will be meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month on June 14.
Even if you would rather not meet in person, you can still be involved and work on projects from your own home.

On June 18 at 11:30AM, the Music Ministry Team is hosting an Ice Cream Social in the courtyard. The ice cream, toppings and paper products were donated by Stewart’s Shops, so 100% of the donations can go for special music and events at St. John’s. We appreciate your support of the Music Ministry programs at St. John’s and we hope to see you at the Ice Cream Social!
This year marks St. John’s 20th year of helping to keep the roadways in our community clean with the Adopt a Highway program. The next pick up is scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at 9:00 AM. Meet at the parking lot beside Burger King on Rt 44, in Poughkeepsie. Please mark your calendars now and sign up on the poster at the church or call the church office 845-452-1550 by Sunday, April 20 to make a difference in our community. Please bring gloves.

Anyone is welcome to play – form your own team or sign up to join one. Spectators are welcome and encouraged. The cost is $5 per player; additional donations are always welcome for this worthy cause. ALL money collected will go to the St. John’s Food Pantry. If possible, we ask teams to stay until the end (even if they are not part of the finals round). We hand out special awards to hand out and hope that teams can be part of that awards ceremony at the end of the tournament (usually between 1:15-1:30pm.) There will be food, drinks, and lots of fun.
Teams must sign up by June 22.
(This is a hard deadline, so be sure to sign-up early!)

St. John’s Lutheran Church will have a Celtic worship service on July 6 at 10:30AM featuring Celtic infused music throughout. Come experience this unique worship service and stay afterwards for a special Celtic themed Coffee Hour.
There will ONLY be one service on Celtic Sunday at 10:30AM.
