Thinking about death makes most people uncomfortable, which means many of us end up not planning. But planning for the end-of-life isn’t about you. It is a lifetime gift that you’re giving to those you leave behind. It really is for the people you love.
Come to this presentation on May 5 at 11:45AM-12:45PM to hear of options for end-of-life arrangements you may never have considered.
This event is free and a light lunch will be served. Please sign up by by calling or emailing:

The TOWN of Poughkeepsie, in conjunction with its Conservation Advisory Commission, has applied for a grant for a Food Scraps Recycling pilot program to start later this year or in 2025, depending on when funding is secured. They have created a short online survey to gauge TOWN of Poughkeepsie residents’ interest in participating, and would greatly appreciate any TOWN of Poughkeepsie residents filling it out by May 31.

On June 16 at 11:30AM, the Music Ministry Team is hosting an Ice Cream Social in the courtyard. The ice cream, toppings and paper products were donated by Stewart’s Shops, so 100% of the donations can go for special music and events at St. John’s. Thrivent is also offering matching funds up to $1,500 through the Thrivent Choice Program.
We appreciate your support of the Music Ministry programs at St. John’s and we hope to see you at the Ice Cream Social!
