The St. John’s Property Mission Team needs your help! Please join us on Saturday morning May 18, 2024 from 9:00 AM to Noon. There are numerous interior and exterior tasks to clean, repair and improve our building. There is a poster in the Narthex (church foyer) with a list of tasks. Please sign up for a task so you can share your time and talent and make a difference in your church. Please call the church office for more info or as an alternate way to sign up to help.

The TOWN of Poughkeepsie, in conjunction with its Conservation Advisory Commission, has applied for a grant for a Food Scraps Recycling pilot program to start later this year or in 2025, depending on when funding is secured. They have created a short online survey to gauge TOWN of Poughkeepsie residents’ interest in participating, and would greatly appreciate any TOWN of Poughkeepsie residents filling it out by May 31.

Please join us for our annual Spring Handbell Concert on June 2nd at 3:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church. This program will feature both large and small ensemble pieces performed by the St. John’s Handbell Choirs and will be a relaxing afternoon of beautiful music. The event is free, but a freewill offering will be taken to help support the music program at St. John’s Lutheran Church. There will be a reception following the concert.
This event is open to the community and we welcome you to come and enjoy!
Confirmation Classes are offered for Youth in the 6th grade through 9th grade.
9th graders who have gone through the confirmation program confirm their faith at a special worship service in October.
