Jeffrey Koenig (PK)

Pastor Koenig (PK) became St. John’s Lutheran Church’s full time pastor in November 2018. PK was raised near Schenectady and graduated from SUNY Oswego. He received his Master of Divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary. He came to St. John’s Lutheran Church with 22 years of experience having served King of Kings Lutheran Church in Melville, NY most recently. He is an avid skier, cyclist, and loves to bowl. He has two grown children, Wally, and Willy as well as two step children, Simon and Juliana.
Richard Ferolito
Deacon
Deacon Rich regularly brings communion to the hospitalized and home bound, offering a listening ear and loving heart. Rich also serves on a variety of church teams and groups, including the Property Mission Team, Social Ministry Mission Team, and Altar Guild. He is an Assisting Minister during worship and is in charge of worship leaders for the 10:30 a.m. service. In the wider church, Rich is part of the Synod (Tanzanian committee) and on the Diaconate Synod Council. He has been married for over 50 years to a lifelong St. John’s member – his beloved wife, Carol.
Jeanne Jones
Director of Lay Ministries, Contemporary Music Leader
Jeanne works as a facilitator, encourager, director, organizer, and motivator with these goals in mind – for people to have a passion for God that drives them to seek and use the gifts God has given them and to share the love of Jesus with others. She is also in charge of some administrative things such as publicity, congregation scheduling, and communication. Her other hat involves playing piano and leading the Contemporary Worship Team during the early worship service. Jeanne and her husband, Steve, have been married and members of this congregation for 35 years. They have three children – Kaleigh, Jessica, and Joshua – a close-knit family with much joy and laughter when they are together!
Dillon Streifeneder
Director of Music
A native of the Hudson Valley, Dillon Streifeneder recently returned after a decade away. In May, Dillon graduated from The Ohio State University with his PhD in history. He will begin teaching as an adjunct professor at SUNY New Paltz this coming fall semester. Growing up in Red Hook, Dillon played in the school’s concert band and sang in the choir from grade school through high school. He began playing organ in high school when called on to substitute for the organist at his home congregation of Rock City Memorial Lutheran Church. Shortly thereafter, Dillon began playing in other local churches (including a few Sundays at St. John’s), and taking private organ lessons, which he continued in college. Attending Lebanon Valley College (LVC) in south-central Pennsylvania, Dillon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music and Organ Performance in 2014. While at LVC, Dillon studied with Dr. Shelly Moorman-Stahlman, sang in the concert choir, and performed with the handbell ensemble. Dillon has served Lutheran, Episcopal, and Methodist parishes in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Ohio, and was most recently the organist and director of music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
Alison Schlak
Bookkeeper
Alison Schlak is a long-time member of St. John’s with experience in accounting and bookkeeping. She has taken over the bookkeeper duties for St. John’s and currently works in the church office on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Rosanne Leigh Office Assistant
Office Administrator
I was an Administrative Assistant before I became a Systems Programmer for Merrill Lynch. Jonathan and I celebrated 32 years of marriage this June. While I was a stay at home mom for our two sons, I became a certified teacher's assistant and subbed at several elementary schools in the Arlington and Wappingers Central school districts. I also started my own company selling items at local assisted living homes. I enjoy being out in nature during the summer tending to my flower and vegetable gardens and hiking on the many trails along the Hudson. In the winter I enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and playing in the snow with our dog Keenai when there's snow! I also love to play gin rummy with Jonathan.
