Here are the pictures and results from Massive Meatball Mania that hit St. John’s in the way of this food service project. 12 people took three hours out of busy schedules and demanding lives to make 1000 meatballs. It took 53 pounds of ground meat, using 6 gallons of sauce (donated by Copola’s restaurant in Hyde Park.) Everyone felt very good about their accomplishment and enjoyed the comradery of the group. They surpassed the number of pierogis that were made earlier in the year; part of another food service project. Of course they had to sample the fruits of labor just to be sure the meatballs were up to par. They were!
